Here at Good Dogg, our vision to Leverage the Beverage™ starts by aligning our brand with like-minded partners who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. That’s why we are proud to partner with organizations like Canines for Disabled Kids (CDK). CDK promotes service dog partnerships and provides education and awareness to increase independence for children with disabilities and their families.

CDK values public awareness and education so much that they travel across the country to speak to families, civic groups, religious groups, and corporations about assistance dogs. CDK’s hard work benefits families and children living with disabilities, by providing awareness and hope for a better future.

One unique opportunity that CDK brings to the partnership is it affords families an opportunity for scholarships, which help alleviate the financial burden of obtaining a service dog. Good Dogg is committed to helping CDK in this mission and aims to increase the available funds for those scholarships.

Much like Good Dogg, CDK strives to make a difference in the lives of others, one paw at a time! That is why the Good Dogg and CDK partnership is so important to our Leverage the Beverage™ program, and there is a lot of excitement about the difference already being made through this shared vision.

This spring, Asher Waldrop of Mechanicsville, VA was named the inaugural CDK scholarship recipient through the newly formed relationship between Good Dogg Beverage and Canines for Disabled Kids (CDK). Through Good Dogg’s Leverage the Beverage™ program, her scholarship is the first crucial step in forging a partnership between CDK and Good Dogg Beverage that will have a direct impact on the lives of children with rare diseases.

Asher, who has Mitochondrial Disease, was able to complete her match with Gatsby, a trained medical alert and response service dog who assists Asher with mobility, alerts to oncoming nausea and pain spikes, provides pain-relieving pressure, and retrieves medications and assistance in the event of an emergency, thanks to the scholarship.
